GLACIER BAY

Glacier Bay

PREVIOUS CANADIAN LAKE - NEXT LAPLAND

ORIGINAL: SOLD

PRINTS: (The stated cost includes postage.)

DESCRIPTION: This image evokes a powerful respect for the extreme cold of the Arctic. This is carried by the rugged, ice covered mountains and the breaking glaciers. It is a composition that is restricted to the blue purple side of the spectrum and it demonstrates Jack's ability to work with these colors. There is also a very strong element of reflection in this image, which emphasizes the multi-dimensional reality that we really live in. Again Jack's two bird signature is there in the top right, showing again that there is life in this forbidding place. This image works well with "Lapland", "Milford Sound" and "Fjordland". Glacier Bay is in the far off, North West Territory of Canada. It is far beyond the Arctic Circle and is a place that very few people have ever visited. Jack was impressed by the extreme contrasts that it showed in contrast to the hot lands of Australia.
